Core Essential Beliefs

Faith alone in Christ alone

Here are the core essential beliefs of our faith:
  • The Bible

We believe the Bible to be the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men, and the divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life. When we say inspired and without error, we mean we believe this to be verbal, plenary, infallible, and inerrant throughout.
  • God the Father

We believe in one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  • God the Son

We believe that Jesus Christ is true God and true man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died on the cross as the substitutionary sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures. Further, He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, where, at the right hand of the Majesty on High, He now sits as our High Priest and Advocate.
  • God the Holy Spirit

We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and during this age to convict men, regenerate the believing sinner, and indwell, guide, instruct, and empower the believer for godly living and service.
  • Mankind

We believe that man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and is therefore lost. Only through personal faith in Jesus Christ and regeneration by the Holy Spirit can eternal salvation and spiritual life be obtained.
  • The Redemptive Work of Christ

We believe that the substitutionary death of Jesus Christ, His resurrection, and His blood payment provide the only grounds for justification and eternal salvation for all who believe, and only such as receive Jesus Christ through faith are born-again or spiritually regenerated by the Holy Spirit and, thus, become children of God.
  • The Church

We believe that the true church is constituted of all people who have believed in Jesus Christ through faith alone and, thus, have been spiritually regenerated by the Holy Spirit. They are united into the Body of Christ over which the Head is Christ. We believe that Christ is Lord and head of the Church and that every local church, under Christ's leadership, has the right to govern its own affairs and make decisions.
  • Eschatology

We believe in the pre-tribulational return of Jesus Christ for His Church. This will be followed by a seven-year tribulation on the earth, which is climaxed by the pre-millennial return of Christ to the earth with His Church to usher in a literal thousand-year millennial kingdom. This will be followed by the Great White Throne Judgment and then followed by the creation of the new heavens and new earth upon which begins the thousand generations of positive believers under the personal stewardship of Christ. This will be followed by the omega moment when Christ hands over the kingdom to God the Father and, ultimately, be followed by eternity future.
  • Resurrection of the Dead

We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead: of the believer to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord; of the unbeliever to judgment and everlasting conscious punishment.
