The Church, which is the Body of Christ and will be the Bride of Christ (Ephesians 5:25-27; 2 Corinthians 11:2; Revelation 19:7-8), is a spiritual organism made up exclusively of all born-again believers in Jesus Christ of this present parenthetical dispensation of the Church, which began on the day of Pentecost, irrespective of their age, gender, linguistic background, human IQ, socioeconomic status, national origin, cultural heritage, religious background, or affiliation with corporate churches or other religious or non-religious organizations (1 Corinthians 12:12-14). The Lord Jesus Christ is Head of the Church (Colossians 1:18; Ephesians 1:22-23). The Body of Christ is visibly functional through assemblies called local churches (1 Corinthians 1:2; Philippians 1:1; Hebrews 10:25). Every local church has the right under Christ to decide and govern its own affairs.

The primary purpose of the local church is for the communication of Bible Doctrine. Each local church has the right to optionally include or exclude secondary activities such as worship, prayer, exhortation, witnessing, fellowship, discipline, serving one another, and observing the church ordinances. The autonomy of the local church is to be free from any external authority or control. (Acts 14:27, 20:17, 28-32; Romans 12:3-8; 1 Corinthians 1:1-2; 5:4-7; 1 Timothy 3:1-15; 1 Peter 5:1-3)
