The Essence of God
God [Yahweh Elohim] is one—in being, essence, and glory (John 10:30), Who has revealed Himself in three distinct Persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (2 Corinthians 13:14). God is absolute sovereignty (Psalms 47:2; 93:1, Isaiah 46:7), having absolute authority, will, and prerogative. God is absolute righteousness (Psalms 25:8; 34:8; 86:5; 119:68; Luke 18:19), perfectly good and sinless in character and person. God is absolute justice (Deuteronomy 32:4; Nehemiah 9:33; Romans 2:11), perfectly fair without bias or partiality. God is unchangeable, eternal, perfect love (1 John 4:8b, 16). God is eternal, absolute self-existing (Exodus 3:14), Who has neither beginning nor end (Psalms 90:2; 102:27). God is omniscience (Job 37:16; John 18:4; Isaiah 11:2), knowing all things including both the actual and possible past, present, and future events. God is omnipresence (Jeremiah 23:23-24; Acts 17:27-28; John 14:20; Matthew 28:20; 1 Corinthians 6:19), existing beyond spatial limitations, independent of the created universe, and is always present everywhere in nature, in history, in all the affairs of mankind. God is omnipotence (Job 11:7; Romans 1:20; Isaiah 40:26), all-powerful and unlimited in His ability and authority. God is immutability (Numbers 23:19; Psalms 33:11; 102:27; Malachi 3:6), unchangeable, absolute stability, and always faithful (Lamentations 3:22-23; 2 Timothy 2:13). God is veracity (Psalms 12:6; John 14:6), absolute truth evident in His words (John 8:45-46), in His works (Psalms 33:4), and in His ways (Revelation 15:3).
