The Failure of Christianity

Although the statistics are dated, the diagram wonderfully illustrates a contrast between the true Church, which is comprised of all born-again or spiritually regenerated believers, with the rest of unregenerate Christendom and the Heathen world in general. Clearly, the true Church has not kept pace with these. There are many more persons born into the world each year than there are persons who become born-again or spiritually regenerated, and thus far, Christianity, as a world converting power, is a failure. Although not clearly illustrated in the diagram, every sect of Christendom and Heathendom has at least a small percentage of believers in Jesus Christ who are spiritually regenerate and, thus, are members of the true Church.

The true Church is represented in the diagram among Christendom as the "wise virgins" and among Heathendom as the "Christian converts." It is evident from the diagram that God's purpose in the Church Age is not to convert the entire world through the dissemination of the Gospel but simply to gather out an "elect body"—the [true] Church or "The Church of the New Born" as depicted in the diagram.
