Today’s Prayer

[For in the silence of our heart [inner core], when] we do not know how to pray as we should, the [Holy] Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. (Romans 8:26)

Stop worrying about anything. Instead, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving make your requests known to God. And the tranquillity which transcends all understanding will garrison your hearts and minds because of Christ Jesus. Finally, fellow believers, whatever is [doctrinally] true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is capacity for integrity love, whatever is commendable, whatever has virtue and is worthy of praise, concentrate on these things. (Philippians 4:6-8)

An Enduring Prayer for the Believer in Jesus Christ

Heavenly Father, in Your special plan You, the eternal Holy One, have set forth the divine outline of history. By Your decree and through Your omniscience, Your omnipotence, and Your sovereignty, You alone have woven the ages, the times and seasons of history from eternity past to eternity future. Nothing is outside the scope of Your knowledge, Your power, and Your control. You have administered this present age in we live, the Church Age, in Your special plan for mankind, that anyone who believes in Your Son Jesus Christ, may become a part of Your royal family [the Church, the Body of Christ]. We direct this prayer toward us, the Body of Christ, asking You to grant us humility to measure our lust for action, patience to wait for the leading of Your Spirit, wisdom to illuminate our pursuit of justice, resolve to strengthen our obligation to lead, strength in the defense of liberty, and virtue to abide in Your righteousness. We seek Your special blessing today for those who stand as sword and shield protecting the many from the tyranny of the few. Our enduring prayer is that You shall always guide our pursuits and our battles shall always be just. We pray this day Heavenly Father, the prayer the believer learned at another time of righteous struggle and noble cause, this enduring prayer for the believer in Jesus Christ. Not only that You, Father, will be by our side, but that we will continually remain by Your side. We pray this in the name of Your only begotten [uniquely born, one of a kind] Son, Jesus Christ, Who is our Savior, our Redeemer and Reconciler, our King of kings and Lord of lords, Amen.

Until He comes again.
